Run a Business or Blog? Take it to the next level with Anseo Online Bespoke Workshop

I wanted to share this with my readers because I know there’s both bloggers and businesses who follow my health and beauty blog and I’m all about supporting others and sharing what I’ve learned through my own experience. Make up artists, beauticians, holistic therapists, pharmacies, hairdressers, craft makers, artists, photographers, any business really, is in some shape or form trying to reach more people. And where are the people nowadays??? ONLINE!!! I’m a blogger and I also run my own business, a small beauty room, and with the ever changing tide of social media I know the importance of having a good social media presence. It’s vital! To help me along the social media wave and to really up my game I attended a bespoke workshop for both businesses AND bloggers last month in The Clarion, Liffey Valley. It was ran by Sinead Kavanagh from “The Beautiful Truth” and John Coote from JCIT.ie and it’s called Anseo-Online, a social media and web training course. Whether you’re a small business or a blogger this will have a massive positive impact for you. If you’ve never heard of Sinead or John, let me tell you, and you can thank me later!

Sinead Kavanagh from “The Beautiful Truth”

Sinead runs a very successful beauty blog called “The Beautiful Truth”. (You can have a nosey here => thebeautifultruth.ie) In a relatively short space of time she has built an incredible following of over 100, 000 followers combined across all her social media channels, she has won awards, collaborated with some of the biggest brands and in my opinion, is one of THE most honest bloggers around. She will NEVER say something is brilliant just because it was sent to her, and for this reason alone she is one of my favourite bloggers. She is a huge inspiration. As well as being a blogger, she’s a teacher, a Mammy, a wife and is as nice in person as she is on her Snapchat (thebeauttruth). She is so genuine and I 100% trust her reviews. In Sinead’s part of the course, she lets you in on all her social media secrets, covering Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

John is a web developer, but not just any web developer, no, no, no! He is also a Google Analytics and SEO Expert!!! Don’t know what that is??? Well you’re in luck, because that’s exactly what he covers in his part of the workshop. And it’s exactly what you need if you want to run a successful blog or increase your exposure and sales from a business point of view. You simply have to have some understanding of SEO and Google Analytics. This was an area for me that I really struggled with because I am in no way tech savvy but John explained it in such an easy to understand way, that I was actually able to grasp it. I couldn’t believe it! He was very funny and had us all laughing, this helped us relax and because of that, I found it so much easier to retain and understand the information he gave.

Course Content

What’s fantastic about this workshop is that it’s bespoke, so it’s completely tailored to you and your needs. Before you attend they send you an email and you outline any questions, topics or issues you want to focus on and learn about. Another aspect I loved is that you bring your camera and laptop, and find out how to use them to your advantage. For example Sinead showed us a whole world behind the scenes of Facebook and how to use this to increase reach, engagement and followers. The reason I didn’t write this blog post the day after the workshop last month was because I wanted to see if the techniques I gained actually worked for me. And yes it did! It’s exactly 4 weeks to the day and I have gained almost a thousand new followers across my social media channels combined, my reach has gone up and so has my engagement. I have more people booking in with me for appointments and I’m getting great feedback. The workshop is split into two groups, one for business and one for bloggers, so everything is relevant to you and your needs. It covers everything from PR Companies and Social Media Kits to your Google Ranking and how a website can improve your business.

So nice meeting Sinead in person

Where  and when?

John and Sinead are holding the workshops in different locations around Ireland, so if there is one near you I’d highly recommend you go. And even if it’s not near you, I’d still recommend you go. I travelled from Waterford to Dublin, and I can honestly say it was the best money and time I ever spent in trying to better my business and blog. The price is €70, which I think is very reasonable considering the duration is 5 hours and you leave with invaluable information that you can put to use time and time again.

Galway – 4th of March, Connacht Hotel

Cork – 11th of March, Cork International Hotel

Dublin – 2nd April, Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley

The Anseo-Online Workshop has made a huge difference to me. I left feeling inspired, motivated and determined to make a success out of both my beauty business and my little beauty blog as well as feeling a lot more confident about all the technical stuff. And The Irish Blogger Agency recently got in touch with me and asked me to feature in and share the story of my blog in their “Blogger Buzz” Series. To say I was delighted would be an understatement!!! So thank you to John and Sinead, I’m already hoping for a part two!!!
