I was invited up to the relaunch party of IsaDora by the lovely Fiona and Paula, from The Works PR, on Thursday last. It was on in the stunning RHA Gallery in Dublin’s city centre and packed full of bloggers, makeup artists and Snapchat stars including James Patrice, Jen Morris from Too Dolly Makeup and Karen Constantine from Lovely Girly Bits(I was too shy to ask them for a picture)! There was a fantastic turnout!
It was a night full of makeup, donuts, music and cocktails!!! There were makeup artists on stand by at IsaDora makeup stations if anyone wanted their makeup done or a touch up.
Paula welcomed us all to the event and then we heard from Jenny, the IsaDora brand manager here in Ireland. She gave us a little history and background into the brand.
IsaDora is from Sweden and began in 1983. Top quality ingredients at affordable prices are at the core of the company. They pride themselves on providing a line of cosmetics that are made with 100% minerals that are fragrance free and contain no parabens. This makes the range perfect for those who have sensitive skin and sensitive eyes. They are clinically tested and they DO NOT test on animals.
Desert Island Products
Next up, we had Sylvia Lukkarinen, Isadora’s Export Area Manager. She shared with us her 3 IsaDora Desert Island Products…BB Cream, Sculpting Wheel and Stretch Lash Mascara!
Some products that really stood out to me were….
IsaDora’s Foundation Colour Blenders
These IsaDora Foundation Colour Blenders intrigued me! Shade 00, lightens foundation and shade 03, darkens. Highly pigmented liquid formula ensures you never have to worry about buying perfect matching foundation anymore! They would also be a brilliant addition to any makeup artists kit or to change up the same shade foundation for when you have a tan and when you don’t.
IsaDora’s Draping Wheel
Did you ever hear of draping?! It’s a new trend sweeping across the makeup industry. It is a type of countouring where instead of using bronzer and ashy toned contour powders, you use blushers and highlighters to accentuate the cheekbones. IsaDora have designed a “Draping Wheel” Blush and Glow. It contains 4 blushers which are a mixture of matte and shimmer plus a highlighter to give that extra glow to your look.
Three Steps to Draping
- Apply the darker blush under the cheekbones in an upward motion toward the ears and temples.
- Apply the lighter blush along the cheekbones in an upward motion toward the temples.
- Apply the highlighter to bring both the shades together or on top of your cheekbones to add that extra glow.
IsaDora’s Stretch Lash Mascara €17.95
I looooooove how this mascara is designed!!!! One wand, two effects!!! You can adjust the shape of the wand, by twisting the end of the brush to either shorten or lengthen it. Carry out both steps for thicker, longer lashes. This product is absolute magic!!! Definitely my pick of the night!
IsaDora’s Bronzer €19.95
This is IsaDora’s top seller in Ireland!!! It’s no surprise really given Irish people typically have pale complexions, and are always on the hunt for products that give a beautiful bronze effect. This was the first bronzer I ever bought and I still love it!!! It’s HUUUUGE too, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
Huge thanks to Fiona, Paula and the whole team at IsaDora for having me at their event, I really enjoyed it!!! Have you ever used any IsaDora products? What are your favourites? IsaDora is available in Shaws Department Stores and leading pharmacies nationwide.
