Tomitago – Where It All Began!

Brand Ambassador

As some of you know I was named Brand Ambassador for Tomitago Cosmetics back in October last year.  Not only was I excited to be part of a brand that actually achieves incredible results for it’s users but I was equally excited to be part of a brand with an amazing story behind it. A story of determination, belief and sheer hard work. Louise O’Neill is an inspiration and proof that if you work hard enough and have an unrelenting belief that you will succeed, you will. I couldn’t be happier to be part of her team!

The Story

Louise was a beauty therapist for many years, then went on to work in the pharmaceutical industry before going on to do law for 6 years! Louise loves to keep challenging herself, which is why she is qualified in many things! Tomitago is a combination of all three!

The company came about three years ago, when she sadly lost the greatest man in her life, her Dad. She had also met a man with four very bad toes and they were about to be amputated. Louise had asked him if she could go away and have a little think on how she could help! She researched and she studied Ancient Indian Practices, the Red Indian Practices in particular. And then, she made a jar of cream on the saucepan on the cooker!!!

Amazingly, the jar of cream cured his feet. Louise has the paper work, consultant reports and photographic evidence to prove it. At that time, Louise thought to herself, “If that jar of cream can regenerate the cells in his toes, it can surely regenerate the cells on my face.” If there’s one thing Louise doesn’t like it’s wrinkles, so she went back to the sauce pan to add an anti-aging element and tweaked it a little bit.

She decided to turn the grief that she had for her Dad dying into something special. Her Dad was always very proud of her when she worked and had always said, “She’s better than any man, that girl, and would come back from nothing.” So Louise decided, “You know what Dad, I’m going to do it one more time for you.”

Tommy O’Neill was Louise’s Dad and Plantago is an ancient herb used by the Red Indians, she combined the two and so the name TOMITAGO was born!!! Louise no longer uses a saucepan but she does work tirelessly to produce one of the best chemical free ranges out there!

The ethos of the company is that, “not one single product will go out that isn’t perfect, it is only the best and freshest ingredients that go into these products.” Louise strongly believes that, “Every single woman has a right to be beautiful and I don’t distinguish between the rich and the poor. I don’t believe that age determines your beauty, and I don’t believe money determines your beauty.” Louise went from being a housewife in Pilltown cooking up her miracle creams in saucepan on her cooker to now running one of the best skincare ranges in the country. A truly inspirational story!

100% Chemical Free

I love many things about Tomitago, and one of the things I love the most is the fact that it’s 100% Chemical. On average we apply 145 chemicals onto the body every day in the form of cosmetics. We all know the dangers and risks chemicals can bring and I for one like to reduce the amount I put on myskin. Using a skincare brand, like Tomitago, that’s 100% chemical free, is a good way to start.
